Las Piñas court hears J. Remulla’s drug possession case

DRUG respondent Juanito Remulla III has attended hearing called by the Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 197 through videoconference from where he is detained at Las Piñas City Jail. He was represented by his lawyers.
Two chemists from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) testified at the hearing on drug possession case filed against him before Las Piñas City court.
Aside from the two chemists, PDEA representatives brought box that contained kush or high-grade marijuana, which is main evidence in the case.
Remulla was nabbed during controlled delivery operation by PDEA and Ninoy Aquino International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group in Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas City on October 11.
He pleaded not guilty to the drug possession charges.
Remulla is also facing complaints for importation of dangerous drugs and violation of Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, both of which are under preliminary investigation by Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
He did not submit a counter affidavit at the close of preliminary investigation hearing.
