Musñgi heads AFP Metro Manila

“Musñgi will be able to steer JTF-NCR in addressing complexities of Metro Manila’s security environment,” Armed Forces of the Philippines appointed Col. Alexei Musñgi as AFP’s commander of Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF-NCR).
Musñgi replaced Brig. Gen. Marceliano Teofilo, who was designated chief of AFP Intelligence Service in July.
Musñgi assumed post during change of command ceremony led by AFP chief Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro at Camp Aguinaldo.
Bacarro emphasized importance of JTF-NCR and its commander to the overall stability and development of the country.
“Taking on this immense responsibility entails expertise in security operations, intelligence and inter-agency collaboration to address multi-faceted security concerns and promptly respond to emergencies,” he concluded.
