UAE gov’t will take care of OFWs

“The Crown Prince assured President Duterte that UAE Government will continue to take care of Filipino nationals residing in the country in the best way it can,” Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan vowed government will take care of Filipino nationals living and working in  United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Crown Prince made statement during phone call with President Rodrigo Duterte as Philippines renewed its bilateral relations with  UAE.

“The UAE benefits from the skills of Filipino workers and is happy to have them,” it added.

Both leaders expressed solidarity in “face of continuing threats posed by terrorism and violent extremism.”

President Duterte also underscored Philippines’ commitment to coordinate with international parties in curbing terrorism by complying with international law.

President Duterte congratulated UAE on its 50th Founding Anniversary, adding that he appreciates  Western Asian country for caring for over 600,000 Filipinos staying there.

Further, President Duterte thanked Crown Prince for UAE’s donation of seven metric tons of medical supplies, personal protective equipment and 100,000 doses of Hayat Vax vaccines, which augmented COVID-19 inoculation in  Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

“We look forward to further working closely with UAE as we continue addressing  challenges of  pandemic,” President Duterte said.
