No Fil hurt in Tokyo train attack

“Fortunately, no Filipino was hurt,” Philippine Deputy Chief of Mission to Japan Robespierre Bolivar ,Philippine Embassy in Japan said no Filipino was hurt during an October 31 train attack in Tokyo which injured 17 people.

The  attack staged by a man dressed as Joker, nemesis of superhero Batman, inside a Tokyo train line.

“The suspect is now under police custody,” Bolivar added.

BoIivar said there are around 400,000 Filipinos in the Tokyo Metropolitan area, and that there are no active COVID-19 cases within the Filipino community as of the moment.

He could not give figures as to the COVID-19 vaccine coverage of Filipinos in Japan due to the data privacy policy of the Japanese government.

However, Bolivar said  70% of Japanese population are already vaccinated against COVID-19.
