29 rescued in Sur Nte sea mishap

TWENTY-NINE passenger with two (2) crew members of panssenger boat escaped death upon rescued by Philippine Coast Guard in Surigao del Norte province.
MBCA Emerald capsized off coast of Barangay Doña Helene in Socorro, Surigao del Norte.
PCG-Surigao del Norte commander Elaine Pangilinan said MBCA Emerald, sailed from Lanuza, Surigao del Sur, capsized after it was hit by strong waves.
Crewmembers of two passing motorboats MBCA Marian and MBC Zac Gregor helped rescue the passengers of the distressed vessel.
Responding PCG and Philippine National Police Maritime Group personnel brought the rescued passengers to Socorro.
