Gunrunners held at N. Samar port

POLICE authorities are looking into four suspected gunrunners arrested upon arrival at Allen port in Northern Samar on a roll-on roll-off vessel from Bicol.
Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine National Police personnel said 36 M16 rifles, magazines and three .45-caliber pistols were recovered in the car suspects brought.
Authorities said they conducted the operation after receiving reports that four persons from Taguig City would travel to Eastern Visayas via Bicol on their way to Datu Piang, Maguindanao, where the guns would be sold.
